Food Fun Friday- Monster Munch

I was given a gift of Monster Munch a couple of weeks ago. One taste is all it took!!
I TOO need to give gifts of Monster Munch, mean I don't need to eat it, I'm eating healthy, right??

Monster Munch
1/2-2/3 C unpopped popcorn
1 pkg Almond Bark
1 C Reeses Pieces
1 C Candy Corn
1 C peanuts

START out with the biggest bowl in the house, even if you think it is way too big, it won't be!! (my first mistake). Pop the Popcorn. Melt the Almond Bark in the microwave in a microwave save bowl.
In the XXL bowl (not a cookie sheet, my second mistake) pour the melted bark over the popped corn. Add the candy and peanuts (only I didn't add peanuts because I don't like them...ahhh not that I'm eating this... ahhh a lot of people don't like peanuts and might be allergic, yea, that's it.)
you're done.

I'm putting mine in baggies and bringing them to work. (that way it is even-steven for how much you get) Or you could put it in a fancy waxpaper bag with a super-duper cute label for Halloween! (which of course I did but forgot to take a picture!!!)

enjoy

Old Life vs New Life

In my old life I was pretty outgoing! (drama major). I love COSTUMES
I loved dressing up.. so Halloween & Costume parties were "My Thing'And my kids ALWAYS had home made costumes... such fun finding and creating costumes! My sister did too (JJ as the grouch below)
ok, Kieri was the one who really like my creative costume ability... didn't you?? come on tell me you did!
This one of "Mermaid and Pearl" won the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival Contest!
I still found time to make costumes for me AND for my friends!
and I had some wild friends!!!
ok I look pretty wild too... well I had been dead for years and was visiting from the 'other world'
now my life is pretty (REALLY dull) tame. I don't dress up at all... well I do wear these:
and I am contemplating making this to wear to work Friday:
AND EMILY THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!!!!!!!
AHH memories.... creative sweetness.

Hurricane Mallory

We have had Hurricane Mallory around here for a good 48 hours. (below is the only time that this little whirly gig was sitting still... SPONGE BOP squarepants, Thank you!)
We watched cartoons, we made pumpkins, we made bats (lots of bats...
we went to McDonald's and played on the playground for over an hour (and had to be Super Bribed to leave!) we undecorated all the spooky skeletons and spiders, we went to Costco, we ate lots of sugar!!!!! (that deserves 5 !) we stayed up late watching a "spooky" Disney movie, we played with all the toys in the house, no mater for what age group they were... we went to church, we terrorized Elliot the dog, we posed for pictures...
We are exhausted and need AN
EXTRA 48 HOURS TO GET READY TO RETURN TO THE WORKING WORLD.
and since that won't happens, we'll just have a Chai tea and trudge back to work!
All in All it was fun, exhausting and eye opening and such, but FUN!

Wednesday Wisdom

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you.

... when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
