Christmas sTrEsS

so...... is it appropriate to StReSs out at Christmas, I mean everyone talks its the season to be jolly? How about all the expectations?? i mean... who are you to believe.. the ones that talk about being organized ( i AM organized) and the list makers ( I am a list maker). We are empty- nesters, no one at home but our spoiled old man dog but it seems that my stomach is still in knots about Christmas, and parties and decorating the house and getting ready for the church (RS) dinner and then figuring out how to buy (or make) everyone presents on a small budget.......

and then... wishing like I actually looked like the model in that picture,..... like my house wishes it looked like the models in the Christmas pictures.
sigh.
anyone else with me?

Lisa...I'm so with you! I haven't posted one photo of my tree or Christmas decor...want to know why? Because I haven't got a thing done!

With "The Italian's" dad being sick we haven't had a free weekend or evening to do anything. I started to stress out and then I stopped myself and remembered that I'm blessed with a great family and with great friends...if it gets done it gets done.

Those pictures and models take hours and hours to stage and prepare...I don't have the time or the energy! lol

Hang in there sweet friend, things can be perfectly imperfect!

Love and hugs,
Karyn

Oh, if this isn't the truth, but... I make lists and shop when I am bored. But somehow, when the heat is on, I get very clumsy about things and defiantly leave things to fate. I am totally stressed this year because I am blogging and seeing a bit too much perfection. ;-) But in the end, I get it done.

Thanks for coming by!!

I am more stressed than ever before this Christmas, which is why it surprises me that I am actually still enjoying the holiday. Makes no sense whatsoever.

I do wish I could simplify though, especially on the gift-giving. I keep saying I want to do it every year, but I never quite get it done. I'd like to give every person four gifts. Something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read. Period.

But it's hard to change the tradition everyone is used to.

with ZERO money to spend on christmas this year we opted out of all of the family present drawings. we are doing stockings for brennan and us and sending candy to all of the nieces and nephews. it has made christmas so much more enjoyable to not have to worry about presents for everyone. we may have to keep this up...

Imagine how someone like me feels that is not a list maker and only moderately organized LOL! My feeling is I can only do what I can and I'm not going to make myself crazy about it. Believe me, I had tons of things planned that I'm not doing or making!
