My conundrum

co·nun·drum/kəˈnəndrəm/  Noun:
A confusing and difficult problem or question.

I don’t know what to make of this.. it goes against my grain... both ways…

I ran into Ross on my lunch hour. I bought my SIL a birthday gift and as I was checking out was told I got a 10% discount?

Hmmmmm? Somethings fishy here-
"Why 10% "  I asked, .. well Tuesday age 55 and older get a 10% discount.

- - - - -

my love for a bargain/discount knows no bounds.... or does it?  I do not like to think I look as old as I actually am,
so for the clerk to just automatically BELIEVE I am 55 (hey, just barley by two weeks) I am devastated.

But I love a discount.

My inner thrifty soul vs vain-ness is all dis-combobulated.
I couldn't even think about finding a picture to go with this post.

Can't wait to get a discount for just being alive!! go you!

I think the discount would win out for me too, but yeah, that would discombobulate me a bit.

Sorry about your discombobulation but I'll take the senior discounts any day and next month it will get even better because I'll be collecting my Old Age Pension. Time waits for no one and doesn't sit still just because we want it to be so I'm resigned but I'm not ready for the rocking chair or retirement home just yet... Just keep the discounts coming... JB

Oh, I think that clerk was just being nice and giving you a discount...I bet you don't look a day over 35. Hugs

the very least thing they can do is check for id to see if we are actually the age they think we are..and if not..then they don't say anything..I think you look wonderful and I would never have thought that you were 55..and that is my story and I am sticking to it.;)

I love it when they ask for hubby's sr. id but not mine ... once I actually asked a clerk if I looked that old & then she did card me ... chuckle. Onery me!

Have a beautiful week ~

I want to know where they give the discount for 55, and not make you wait til 65! That rocks! I'd be there all the time! Of course, I'm not 55 yet, but I'd drag my old hubby in with me, and make him pay! lol

And the 'if you look under 40' rule for carding alcohol now really rocks, too! It had been a loooooong time since I'd been carded.....but now, sometimes they do! Yippee! But it only happens when I'm wearing full make-up, my hair is done, and I'm wearing nice clothes......so it doesn't happen often! :o(
