A Hiking Day in the Olympic Nat'l Forest

Rod had the day off (yea!) and it wasn't snowing... or raining... it was a beautiful winter day. We took advantage of the Olympic Forest out by Lake Crescent. We went on a short hike up to Marymere Falls, cold air and fresh smells with green moss all around.

I love the green moss, on the trees, on the ground, on the plants, .... every shade of green

We went across a couple of little single file log bridges up to the top where the Falls were. (thats the bridge wayyyyyy down there)

I think all the trees with moss were better looking than the falls!

I was cold but the hike was a great start to our new exercise routine.

I love this hike, and I have a lot of these same pix! It WAS a beautiful day, and with the sun shining more lately, I have been in the mood to get outdoors, too. I'd like to start at the spit with the big stroller for the two little boys. That's a good hike, too. :o) Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
