Our family time

It was a long week.
We stayed in Half Moon Bay which is about a 20 minute drive south of San Francisco.  Winding down a two lane road on a cliff called Devils Slide.
My aunt and Uncle drove down from Salt Lake.
We drove down from Western Washington.
Lauren&Will drove over from Arizona.
Will's parents, Mary&Bill drove over from Arizona.
Kieri&Russell drove up from San Diego.
It was a destination wedding for us!
The first day we were there we had our family picture(s) taken.
My mother would HATE this picture as it makes her look old.  Yeah, she doesn't think of herself as old (well frankly I don't think of myself as old either... but... pictures don't lie!) My mother turns 84 on Sunday, 9/11   the day they "ruined her Birthday"
I don't know which picture of this cute family I like the best!
and this is my favorite of  Mother & Child
Carson wasn't too much of a willing model... he really wanted to play down by the water, you know, trying to climb down from the cliffs!
I don't know which of these pictures I like best either..guess I choose the one with Carson in it!
What can I say, Katie took too many great pictures.

Katie, our photographer, is wonderful.
Katie was the photographer at my sister Louisa and Monte's wedding in 1983.
Katie was the photographer at my brother and sister in law's wedding (Tim & Tina) in 1982.
Years later she recognized me in a classroom activity at the elementary school where her daughter and my daughter were in the same class!  The two girls became good friends all through school.
Kieri worked as Katie's assistant in High School.
Katie was the photographer at Rod & my wedding in 2006.
Katie was the photographer at Lauren & Will's wedding in 2007.
Of course Katie is the photographer at Kieri & Rusell's wedding this week.
Here is a picture (taken in the morning) of our breakfast get together with Katie's daughter Stacy and her family (hubby Aaron, Jake and Kia-who is hiding behind will..she's Carson's girlfriend and is almost a year!:
Stacy is 6 months pregnant, the next day she was confined to bed rest, poor Stacy ..with two little ones running around too.
