Where theres a will theres a way

After our tumultuous weekend... I've come home with t a new resolve. I have got to light a fire under my mother and get her to have a will done. Bottom Line...sShe just doesn't want to spend the money... and second she doesn't want to think about "it"... well really who does... I don't see anyone that sits around thinking about "it"
MAN ...that WOULD be depressing.

So I called several Elder Law specialists in town and have asked about fees and appointments and such, given my mother the qualifications and will have her choose who she wants to go to...(what do you bet its the female lawyer).

I bought the Suze Ormond Will and Trust kit 2 years ago!!!! I opened it and even filled out the samples... nothing further. I have recently found out that a 14dollar cd just won't cut it in the real world. You need something more concrete.

SO...hopefully today I can get an answer from her as to which lawyer she wants, make an appointment and then maybe tonight go through that Suze Ormond thing with her to let her know what will be asked and what is expected.

It all sounds so easy, but frankly it is heart wrenching and just not at all pleasant!

We used a female attorney. And I'll bet she does, too.

The main thing, of course, is that she gets the job done. My parents took care of theirs a couple of years ago, and I think they felt good to have everything in order.

I guess it's just another form of preparedness, when you think about it...

You just reminded me that I need to change my will as well. It's important and I'm glad you're pushing your mom to get it done.
